Fields of Yellow

The Story 

 The story is set in the Second World War and starts in England May 1944. Leftenant William Carter (Jack Suddaby) of the British Airborne 1^st battalion is on leave and is spending his last few days with his wife Kathryn. When William arrives to headquarters he is briefed by a higher commanding officer, it seems that William will not be staying with the 1^st battalion but instead lead a small unit of paratroopers a week before Operation Neptune (D-day) He will be a part of  five other Para units in Normandy with four men in each unit. Their objective is to destroy buildings and to cause chaos and confusion in enemy territory and to hold a position until reinforcement’s have arrived.
